This free month will be applied when you activate your first device and will start from that moment. At the end of your free 1 month subscription your mSafety will stop working unless you sign up for one of the subscription plans available in your region.

Connectivity Explained

Subscription plan is required to cover the following costs:

Rescue services that are provided in your area (if applicable). This is covered in the form of a donation for with every active account

You cannot pause a subscription that has already been paid for, however you do not have to run one subscription period directly after another and can leave the device without a subscription for a period. After a subscription expires, you can start a new subscription at any time.

While some people are active all year round and prefer to take advantage of the best value subscription plan by taking out a recurring annual subscription, other are only active during certain periods and like to take out the seasonal or monthly plan, then leave their device dormant during the winter months.

For those who Are only occasionally active there are also options for weekly or even daily plans

Unfortunately we cannot refund any remaining time on a subscription fee once it has been paid for. The only exception to this is if you have broken, lost or had your mSafety device stolen and you wish to terminate your contract entirely.

If you are certain that you will no longer be using your mSafety then you can contact us at support@safetrxapp.com so we can terminate your data contract and refund outstanding subscription fees.

Almost everything on the mSafety watch is tied to the network. It even gets it time synchronised automatically with the cellular network to ensure accuracy on alert times and also to update automatically as users move between time zones. Without a subscription, you do not have connectivity to the network and none of the features on the device will work. The device will remain on the ‘Subscription Expired’ screen and you will only be able to navigate to basic menu options.

We have tried to keep the subscriptions costs as low as possible and consistent between countries, however there are instances where the underlying data costs that each connected device is subjected to are different and this has to be reflected in the subscription costs.

Additionally where the rescue services provided are different or in cases where there is no rescue service available and we are reliant only on the SafeTrx , contact alerts we may vary the subscription cost to reflect our own costs and the level of service provided.

Yes you can. Your SafeTrx mSafety requires a subscription to function, however there is not a requirement for you to have a continuous service. You can let your subscription expire at any time and then restart again at a later date by paying for a new subscription.

While the best value subscription is the annual pass, we do understand that watersports are seasonal or occasional activities for many and have therefore facilitated shorter passes that can be used as and when required.

No, your access to the SafeTrx Active Web App will remain after your subscription ends. All your previously recorded activities will still be available to view through the ‘Activities’ link on the left navigation panel.

The subscription covers your usage of the SafeTrx mSafety watch and when it ends the connection to the network services is lost along with the ability to track and send alerts.
